What's up Monday?

Hey y'all,

You know how Monday is blah because you're having to pull back that party mode from the weekend and get on with work?  Well, since I work throughout the week, I try to find time to craft in between those times.

Here's Terri Anne and Jam giving me a hint having seen that I hadn't used DCWV Tattered Time paper pad since buying it a few years ago.  I'll have to check out videos on paper bag mini albums since I haven't made one of those in years. <LOL!>  I've made plenty of mini's since my induction to paper bag mini albums but using a paper bag itself...well, back to it...

What are you up to this week?

Tag Swap at MAS

Hello there!

I just finished a tag swap at Mini Album Swaps - a place my friend, Suzy Q told me about last year.  It is a wonderful place to do your swaps, as it is quite organized with loads of fun!

I joined a few of the swaps and now that this one is closed, I can show you what I created and sent to the hostess.  It was a "Be my Valentine" Stick Pin swap and you had to make three pins with a nice backdrop on which to place them.

My backdrop was a tag that I had covered in red card stock, added roses, and a doily, which I sprayed with homemade glimmer mist.  Then added Martha Stewart's fine glitter to it because it looked "dirty".  In the photo, it looks dull but in person, it has a glittery presence.  The tickets are Tim Holt's and the heart stamps and heart styrofoam (looks like Valentine conversation hearts) were from the dollar bin.

I can't wait to see the stick pins that will come back to me.  I love these and  charms - great craft collectibles.

Happy Crafting! :~)

More Pages...

Hey y'all,

I've been busy putting my swap journal together after reviewing Ms.Dee's video so many times - heehee; you can see her video here.  It was so inspirational for me.  Check it out:

This is K&Company designer paper I used to cover the front once I had all of the chipboard bound on the inside.

I added pockets here and there and paper for making notes.   I added that donut button to the paper clip; thought that was cute.

I thought it was cute how Ms. Dee decorated her pockets with a border punch and couldn't resist doing the same.

This book will help me stay organized with swaps that I participate in at Mini Album Scraps.  Suzy Q hipped me to this NING site and it's fabulous!

I'll post a decorated front page another day...oh, and pics of the two swaps that I entered at MAS - yep, the swap shop is up and running again....heehee...

Happy Crafting! :~)

Something New...Well...sort of...

Hey y'all,

I've been over at Mini Album Scraps and my craft buddies have been busy being so created that the craft bug finally bit me.  Ms. Dee made a Challenge and Swap journal book she created to keep on top of the many swaps she has entered.  You can view her You Tube video here

Here's what I've done so far:

I had to view a few binding UTube videos because I forgot how to do this.  Don't you just love technology? Heehee... So, I did a hinge binding technique that allows easy turning of the pages.  This is lightweight chipboard that I will cover with designer paper...so stay tuned....
