Flowers...

Good morning everyone,

I've something to show you as I've done another swap at SOC. With spring one always things of lovely pastel colors and such but we also think of flowers.

For this swap, we had to make four different types of flowers using different types of material (e.g., card stock, fabric, lace, etc.). We were placed into groups of five.

I made a total of 20 flowers and placed them on an embossed top note card stock. I adhered a butterfly (Martha Stewart's embossed punch) to help with the spring theme.

As you can see, some of the flowers have a crocheted center or a ribboned pearl center. The ones I made from card stock were created using my Stampin' Up! scallop punch. The other was made using a variety of punches.

I am going to enter these into the following challenges:

*Party Time Tuesday* - Anything Goes
*Lexi's Creations* - Anything But a Card
*Scrap-Creations* - Flowers

Thanks for stopping by and having a look-see.

Happy Crafting! :~)

Some Drawers...

Good morning y'all,

I've been quietly crafting away, working on various projects and changing the format for Tellen's Place, which is now Tellen's Place Designs. We are focusing on the digital images, mini albums and monthly challenges. It'd be great to see you "follow" there.

Here's something I recently made for my RAK swap partner, Cassi, over at Life at the Scrap Beach.

I used papers by DCWV that had been cut up to 6 x 6 sheets. I also made the flowers using a technique by Luveleescrappin.

I painted the wooden pots and used them for legs - these can be found at Michael's as well as the door knobs. I had to reinforce that loose space under the drawer and the paper on the end using the hot glue gun.

The drawers were filled with delicious crafting tidbits.

Prima flowers fit in perfectly.

I added some K & Company die cuts to fill up the last drawer. She really liked it. It didn't take long and though you have to reinforce some of the loose glue spots, that's about it.

Have a super crafting fun day! ;~)

It's a boy...it's a girl...It's Exploding!

Hey y'all,

Well, not too many wanted to take a guess at what I was creating but Diane gave it a good try. Here's what I made with what I showed you on the last post:

This is an explosion box mini album. The tutorial can be found on "Stampin' Dymonz's Creative Space". Click here to go to the specific post on her blog.

Diane, would you please send me your address so that I can drop your prize off in the mail tomorrow? Thanks for playing! ;-)

Hmmm...wonder what it could be...

Hey y'all,

When I found the baby bottles, the stroller, diaper pins and that paper, I knew I had to make something. The thing is, the idea is different than when I first laid eyes on the paper in the store. Maybe you can guess. Here's a sneak peek:

Here's some of the paper that is left. Of course you can make a lot of things with paper. What do you think I made?

You can see a little bit of the baby bottle - isn't it cute?

There's one of the diaper pins and of course some Wild Orchid flowers. No matter what it is, flowers always add a bit of loveliness to it, doesn't it?

Hmmm...what's this? Looks familiar but...what could it be a part of? Now, the project is something I typically make but it's something I've never made before...well, not this type of project anyway. *smile* Do YOU know what it is?

If you do, leave me a comment and the first comment will receive this little fun prize above from my favorite store, Pizzazz Aplenty.

Happy Guessing! :~)

Baby Stuff...

Guess what I found in my stash....

Aren't these the cutest little things just waiting to be added to some fabulous creation. I have in my mind something really cool to make - found the cutest papers by DCWV...hmmm...wonder what it will be.... *smile*

Stay tuned - I'll have a sneak peak in the coming days and whoever guesses what it is will get a fabulous prize from me...some goodies from Pizzazz Aplenty. So stay tuned....

So how YOU doin'....

Embalming...er Embossing Challenge

Hey Y'all,

It's Friday and though my post is late, today is still April Fool's Day! At Tellen's Place, our schedule was to do embossing but our Sr. Designer, Lyn, decided to change it and when I saw Embalming, I kept thinking - did I put that there and if so, why? I erased it and put down embossing. Now, imagine how crazy I felt when I kept seeing embalming - I thought blogger was making me nutty. Instead, it was my senior designer over at Tellen's Place! LOL! :-)

So, we had to use a dark image from the collection and include embossing. I put this in my art journal because that menopausal monster is still lurking about and I need to get him out of my head at times! :-) I'd put this in a challenge or two but I'm too lazy.

Y'all have a good weekend! Thanks for stopping by and leaving some of that good stuff! ;-)
