Yikes...another month

Howdy peeps!

Where does the time go?? I've been busy crafting...what about you...I know...I need to go check you out...

This is one of the many pocket letter pals I made, swapping with others and sending to friends.  This one is "Tilda" focused - the front above.

The back, according to the originator, Janette Lane, is to be filled with goodies.  My Sissy, Nancy Martinez, loved this.

Thanks for stopping by...now to see what you're up to.

Mason Jars

Hey y'all,

Can you believe I missed the whole month of April? I am so busy doing the You Tube thing that I miss out on blogging.  But no worries, I'll catch up to what you all are doing soon.  But I want to share some embellishments I made earlier this year - these are actual tags that I have put on gifts that I send people.

As you can see, these all have fabric as the base and I added flowers, ribbon and lace to complete the look.  I've made smaller embellishments for two swaps I'm in - will show those later.

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Crafting!

Zentangle

Good morning y'all,

I love to learn new things and sometimes in crafting, I end up doing what I like and forget to venture off into new horizons.  Well, there was a swap over at YPP and I joined it.  Here's what I made:

The more I 'tangle', the more ideas I get on how to form them.  It actually relaxes you because it removes the clutter from your mind so that you can "tangle".  Love this!

Ribbon Book Marks

Hey peeps,

It's been awhile...but I haven't forgotten you - I will make a round of blogs today and see what you've been up to.  I hope you all have been doing your crafty thing with gusto.  I have - here's the latest:

This is a mini note card from a swap at Your Paper Pantry.  We make 5 and get back 5 different ones.  It's a really cool swap idea.

Alright, I'm keeping it short and sweet today.  Have a groovy weekend.

Kit Swapping

Happy Friday!

I am really enjoying the swaps over at Your Paper Pantry.  For the ticket swap, we are making kits and the theme is "home".  Granted, it took me awhile to come up with something cool (er...easy), I finally came up with one that involves a cute little dog and his house.  Check it out!

I wish I was more creative with the house.  I think the terrier looks cute like he's peeking out over the grass.  But all in all, I was able to use my Silhouette to make the cuts and I'm loving the heck out of that machine!

Cards....

Hello y'all!

I joined a swap (Fancy Screen Divider cards) at Your Paper Pantry.  It was something I'd wanted to do after seeing some on Pinterest.  Then I found a tutorial on SplitCoastStampers (I love that site).  Here's what I made:

I really love these screen dividers.  All you need are decorative punches.  I have a slip of paper on one of the panels so that the person can write a note and it stays hidden in case you want to display it.

I made coordinating envelopes to match.

Thanks for stopping by.  Let me know what you think.

Happy Valentine's Day

Good day peeps!

I wanted to show you these mini note cards I made for a swap on Your Paper Pantry.  They really came out well even though I made a bunch that did not meet the "mini" requirement so I had to read the instructions again...doh!

I cut the hearts and Cupid out with my Silhouette Portrait - boy do I love that machine!

The mason jar is from Pinterest, as are the inspiration for these cards.

I wanted to use my new Martha Stewart punch on this one.

I was on a roll until I realized these were too big.  So I started over.  Here's what I made:

I made a pink background and a red one (with cute envelopes).  I still had hearts left over so I made a collage.  I think they turned out rather cute, don't you?

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope your sweetest day is delightful!

Happy Crafting!

Heart Day...

Good morning y'all,

I have completed my swaps for February at Ink the Edges, a fun little site where swaps are done on a 1:1 basis so that you're not sending double the postage.  Here are the ATCs I made for this swap and the theme was Valentine's day.  Tell me what you think:

This ATC has a vintage image and I thought a cute little Tussie Mussie would be ultra cool on it.  Adding "little" bits and pieces complete the look I wanted.

On the site, you usually only make one of the project but I love ATCs and decided to make two to send to my partner.  I love the images.

It's always nice to do a "presentation" for the projects so this time, I made a crayon box to put the two ATCs in.  Then the person can use the box for something else.  Isn't that the cutest image?

I'm going to make time to hop around and see what y'all have been up to...TTYL...thanks for stopping by.

Valentine Pillow Box Kits

Good morning bloggers!

You know it's hard for me to not participate in a fun swap.  Over at Your Paper Pantry, I joined a swap where we make pillow box kits and the theme was Valentine's.  Here's what I made:

We had to make the project first so people could see what would go inside the kit (above).  Below are the three kits we had to make (complete with vintage Valentine cards).  I was confused at first and made tags for my sample and later found out no tags were needed. Hehe

I used WRMK Pillow Box Board - love that tool! I downloaded free images from Google for the Valentine cards.  Most of the kit supplies come from Target's dollar spot.  I totally love making kits and can't wait to get mine from the other ladies so that I can make mine.

Happy crafting! Now to troll through blog land and see what y'all have been up to.....

Upcycle Those Brown Grocery Bags

Good morning peeps!

Although most cities in the Silicon Valley have chosen to eliminate that useful plastic bag since it remains in the compost at the end of the century, we've been given the choice to bring our own reusable bags or purchase a brown bag.  Some of the retailers charge as much as a quarter for those things and I always forget to get my reusable bags out of the car.  So, here's what I've done with them:

I added washi tape to decorate the large mailing envelope I made from these grocery bags.  I left room the return address, postage and the shipping address.

Then I decorated the outside of the bag.  The wider black tape is duck tape - over the seams to prevent something opening once the parcel is tossed about by the postal handlers.

Yeah, the left corner of the above envelope is zentangle - take a closer look - I was having a ball.

The silver tape is duck tape.

I tried to be creative and make arrows...um, yeah, that didn't happen - but it's still cute.

This one is color coordinated.  Fun with washi tape, wouldn't you say?  So don't throw those brown grocery bags away.  Oh, look what else I made:

I used the Envelope Board (from We are Memory Keepers) to make the envelope.

I used flowers I've had since 2009.  This makes such a nice envelope to send a hostess of swaps or adding some lovely craft items inside and make a RAK (random act of kindness).

On one I added lace and Tilda images that really makes it so cute.  Valentine's Day is coming up so I had to add some hearts to another.

On the last one, I made a border with washi tape and then did zentangle.  Oh yeah, this was a great way to practice my zentangle.  I recall Mrs. A. doing this years ago and thought I could never do that...well, never say  never!

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Crafting! :-)

Happy New Year!

Hey peeps!

I know - it's been a LONG time.  Well, I've been busy and had little time to commit to blogging and You Tubing...but I'm back...so here's a little summary of what I've been making:

These are those small composition books that I altered for a swap.  I stamped images on various pages and altered the outside; even putting tabs on the Christmas one (on the right).

These are some of the iCads I started early last year but couldn't really get into the inking. I think I was getting into too many swaps and my creative brain just went swirly.  But I'll be back doing these - a small canvas that can say a lot. :-)

These are the lace pages I really enjoyed making for a swap.  I have to admit that some of the ones I received were not my style (some dark stained the pages with tea dye and I like mine lightly stained but that's what you get when you swap).  Creating these were cool!

I was in a swap with a fabulous lady and she sent me an altered cereal box, which I loved, but had to make one for myself since the one she made had Julie Nutting dolls in it.  She made a cute window, so I just copied.  I'm going to make more - they make great storage for the dolls and the decorations make it a nice show piece.

In this swap, we had to make shadow boxes.  I used images from Dover Publishing - love those gals and their fabulous fashions.

In this challenge at Your Paper Pantry, I was trying to make Christmas cards all year long.  I didn't get past the third month and then couldn't find the cards last month. Yikes!  I'm going to try and do this on my own this year, but we'll see.  Maybe I'll remember where I put these, at least.

Okay, this is the last one because there really are too many to show.  If you want to see more, just visit my You Tube channel (terryeo1).  These are mail art envelopes.  I used napkins to decorate the front and the flaps.  I loved doing this (I decoupaged it all).  Stay tuned for more mail art.

I will be blogging more but will have to check out all I missed from my friends - will be on your pages soon.  Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Crafting! :~)
