The morning after...

Good morning!

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and didn't have to work.

First, let me show you the other three cards I had made with the items I had bought at one of my favorite craft stores.

The card had a snowflake background, so I added one of the tags (a Christmas tree) and a Santa, given to me years ago from my UK buddy, Sandra, who had been one of Tellen's Place designers.

I like decorating the inside and lightly inked the edges and added another fabric tree.

This snowman tag worked great with the card background.  I added a few embellishments to make it "pop!"

The inside snowman is an embellishment that worked well with this card.

The mittens' tag was so cute and worked well with the background card paper.  The leaves are actually from a button pack I purchased (see previous post for those photos).

Don't you just love that little present?

Well, I didn't finish making any holiday cards, purchased them instead from a local department store.  It was so much easier.  I also did some baking:

 Gingerbread Men

Snickerdoodles

Rice Krispy Treats

 Peppermint Sugar Cookies

(L) Russian Tea Cakes and (R) Toffee Sugar Cookies & M/M Sugar Cookies

Banana Nut Bread

So you see, I was pretty busy (heehee).  Whew...glad that's over with.  My family enjoyed these goodies (that was their holiday gift).

'Tis the season to be jolly.  I sure hope you had a fabulous Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by! ;-)

Hello everyone!

You know, it has been rather difficult for me to sit down and craft - work and school do not mix with my limited "time" for some reason.  Well, I did try to craft holiday cards but didn't get too far.  This is what I started out with:

This looks like paper but these are cards - decorated paper by DCWV (I believe) and envelopes were included.  They were about $10 for a set of 40.  I picked this set because I knew I had a supply of holiday accessories to add that would match the color scheme.

These buttons were on sale, buy two, get one free (at JoAnn's).  I was surprised to find so many!  The ribbon was 50% off - what a deal!

These tags work well as centerpieces and they matched the "antique", non-traditional Christmas colors.  Here is one of the cards I came up with:

I found some coordinating paper to mat my Santa tag on, added the "Merry Christmas" ribbon and a tag that I had purchased from a friend from the UK who was selling them at the time.

This is the inside of the card.  The fence punch by Martha Stewart came from my good friend, Sandra, who lives in the UK, which is freezing this time of year.  Brrrr!! ;-)  Isn't Rudolph cute?

Well, stay tuned and I'll try to remember to come back and show you the other three cards I made.

Happy Holidays!
