Distressed...

Hey y'all,

I love Tim Holtz's products and when I can afford to do so, I try to purchase them.  Last year, I took part in a challenge and here's one of the tags I made with Tim (the challenge he had before the holidays):

I did ink distress the edges of this tag, added green cardstock and cut it for the grass; the die-cuts are from K&Company and added fibers and a butterfly.  What fun!

Creepy Halloween

Hey y'all,

Last year, I put popsicle sticks together to make this miniature "crate":

To make this was simple....I inked the edges with TH's ink; then stamped different images using Michael's "dollar" stamps.

I had die cuts that I added in various place and used designer paper on the inside of the basket.

This kitty is a paper die-cut.

I added a ribbon for the handle and made bows to cover the ends of the ribbon.  It makes a cute desk accessory (fill with candy for co-workers).  How cool is that?

Halloween is around the corner...

Booooo!!

I haven't done much crafting because too many things are going on - school, volunteering for President Obama's re-election campaign, work, etc.  But I am loving it!  I just wanted to drop off something from the past that was fun creating - check it out!  :-)

This is a box I painted, ink distressed the lid and bottom, papered and embellished the bottom and sides with a cute little ribbon pumpkin on top.

I added the witch from die-cuts in a pack (can't remember the designer) and used a spider and bat to bring on the spooky theme.

I filled the box with chocolate treats because it was for a swap that I joined with my Georgia Peach buddies!  This was a lot of fun!

Hmmm...sampling the little treats was a lot more fun...yum, yum!

Welcome to my new blog home!  Crafter's Delight was where I started in August of 2009.  I then started Tellen's Place Designs - a challenge blog and ended it in 2012.  I took the year off to regroup and deal with the changes in my personal life (e.g. unemployment since December 2008, family upsets, etc.).  Soon, I'll start blogging again as I get my crafting mojo back....stay tuned. :-)

Christmas Mini Swap

Good morning everyone!

I have missed hopping around like I was once able to do. I will have to get that done some time this weekend - so don't despair, I'll be around to your blog before Christmas...teehee....

This is a mini that I've made for my partner, Ms. Dee. We decided to do a swap between the four of us and it has been great because we have knowledge of he person and it helps knowing this and that about the person when completing these little beauties.

Ms. Dee has been crafting much longer than I have so I wanted her mini to be spectacular as she always creates magnificently. You can see a sneak peek of the mini she made for me by clicking here.

I totally copied this gate fold template from Lia, my uber talented friend and sweet Georgia peach! She loved the way it turned out, so I feel quite happy to send this to Ms. Dee. I'm adding a handmade item to her box, so she'll get it before Christmas. This was so much fun.

Now what have you been up to? Keep safe y'all!

Happy Crafting! :~)

Birthday Fun....

Hello everyone,

You know, I have had a busy two weeks, of which compiled my birthday and shopping on Black Friday - can you believe there was a line at Michael's!? :-)

So the girls (Lia & SuzyQ) really made my birthday peachy keen! I am so blessed to have two such wonderful friends - who are also very talented. Yes, I will be scrap lifting all of these gifts...heehee...I just love the blue Lia achieved with this fabulous box and the princess pillow with the charms...just incredibly delicious!

They took me to lunch at a swanky restaurant where we dined on seafood - including alligator! Yum, yum! Then, they showered me with more gifts!

Suzy and Lia really spoiled me didn't they? Oh yeah, baby!

That Thursday, my actual birthday, Suzy took me to my favorite restaurant and gave me one of my favorite TH's products. Saturday was the big day of fun and shopping. Can you believe we did the shopping thing again that next weekend? Woooo...I'm bushed...but what fun!! These girls are the best --- in more than just giving gifts!

Thanks for looking! Happy Crafting! :~)
