The Year I was Born

Good morning fellow bloggers,

All About Me has a new challenge and they want you to do a scrap page based on the year you were born. I couldn't resist, of course.

The funny thing about this layout is I can remember things from the '60's but 1958 had some interesting things going on:

Michael Jackson and Madonna were born that same year; The peace symbol was created to protest against atomic weapons research (yeah, that stopped 'em), a gallon of gas was 25 cents (what a difference a millennium makes, eh?), Elvis was inducted into the army (and still managed to sing), the Hula Hoop was introduced, the average new home only costs $12k, soup was 10 cents a can, steak was 55 cents a pound and Little Richard was singing, "Good Golly, Miss Molly." What really caught my eye was that The Microchip (yes, the one that makes our pc's work) was first developed by....Intel. How cool is that?

While you're browsing over there at All About Me, check out what the design team came up with as they will inspire you to stamp your year. I love the different elements they used. They're so creative over there!

Happy Scrapping! :p
