Something Different...

Hello you gorgeous crafters!

It is already the second week of January and though I've taken on a sewing project, I am also doing mini albums and think it's time to do something different. Art Journal:

The front of this blank card stock spiral book is decorated with Mariposa paper - isn't it gorgeous? I added these beautiful butterflies that were sent to me from the UK by my good friend, Diva Sandra!

Tellen's Place is having a fabulous challenge this week - ribbons! I was the lucky recipient of a huge bag of ribbon as a prize from AAM challenge last year and let me tell you, I am forever using it.

Typically, the art journal is filled with artistic designs from the user like what I doodled below.

However, I am using this book to make my design team submissions (see above for the Diva in pink) since I don't always have a recipient for the cards I've been making (except to send the lot to the troops). Whatever the reason, these blank books are perfect for all of your crafting needs! One of my DT's is going to do the same but she's using a scrap book - very cool isn't it?!

Happy Crafting!

Wow Terry, this journal is absolutely gorgeous! Your name in gold lettering really pops, and is that the dp that you placed perfectly on the book or is it a die cut, I really can't tell, but it is awesome along with those gorgeous butterflies. Gorgeous journal, you have such good taste. ~Diane

Well Terry, you convinced me to, I bought my spiral journal today. So from now on I am either doing scrapbook pages or in the journal. I think you always come up with some great ideas.

Thanks ladies! @Diane, yes, I positioned the DP so that it fit the journal that way. ;-)

Hi Terry, your journal is so beautiful and elegant and I love how you have used the glittery letters for your name...such a fab book to keep nearby when you are crafting! :) Donna x

PS: The butterfly I used on my card was a button...I got hubby to chop the loop thingy off the back so it would lay flat on my card :) Donna x

So this is what has kept you so quiet. Love the idea of your jornal book to put your submissions in. This way you also have a portfolio of past designs.
Love the pink diva. I just love all the colour combinations you do.
Hugs Mrs A.

What a GORGEOUS piece of art that is... Terry, I love your journal.

I love the way you come up with unusual crafts to make apart from just cards. I love the butterflies in gold on the cover and the stamping as well.
