Another Hannah Belle...

Good morning y'all,

I know, I know...I love girly digital images and rubber stamps. I told you - it's like when I was a kid, playing with paper dolls. Now, you know I only had the one from that McCall's magazine and when Mom didn't keep up the subscription, I didn't get anymore. So, I'm making up for lost time (and the fact that I had all boys and no daughter)!

Look at sweet Hannah Belle...I love the papers I used. These came in a pack and I forget by whom - a few years ago. The flowers are Prima Marketing and I punched the leaves out, added a simple bow from Michael's (50 cents) and ink distressed the edges.

So today is the last day of Heather's blog hop. You can find Hannah Belle and other lovelies in her store. You're gonna love them like I do!

Happy Friday! ;D

Here She is...Hannah Belle...

As you know, Heather is having a sweet little blog hop and new image release which started Wednesday of this week. Check previous posts to determine where the starting line is and all the other delicious details! ;-p

Here's another card I made featuring lovely Hannah Belle. She's got the cutest little face, doesn't she? Isn't it great that you can color these images in so many different ways? Again, I paper pieced the pj's - thought it would be so cute on such a cutie. I added some bling that matched the colors of the jammy jams. I posted a doily in the background with some cute little flowers. The boring card stock matches the color in the clothing and makes for a cute little card, I think.

So, check out Heather's store and see all the cute new images and the rest because they all are cute. :-P

Hearts A'Plenty

I guess you can tell by now how much fun I've had with Heather's sweet heart images for her release these past few days. If you haven't checked out her blog to see her creations and the others that have made things, you might want to take some time and check it out. Or, take a shortcut and head on over to the store to see all of the newbies. In fact, Heather has a nice variety of digital stamps for every occasion.

Heather is such a wonderful person. We've never met but don't you just love when you connect with a blogger and she becomes your friend? She's just such an adorable little lady.

I love the heart images because they don't have to be used just for Valentine's Day. I was thinking about the color purple and wanted to use it on a card for hubby. I thought I would put up a bunch of hearts and tell him I have a lot of heart for him - even when he's acting like King Mufasa! ;D I even popped on some bling in different colors. These were a lot of fun.

Happy Crafting everyone! ;D

Turtle Love...

"I'm in the mood for love...simply because you're near me..".--those are the lyrics to a song back in the '30's and though I wasn't born during that time, I love those black and white movies with the men dressed to the nines and the ladies elegantly fashioned all romantic with each other.

Heather's Coffee Break has released new images and I couldn't help but ink up to keep up with that time frame - her release and FREEBIES end Sunday, so head on over and get yourself some! Don't forget to stop in her store and check out her digi's - she is really fabulously talented. I just love her cute images. Look at my turtle card with a basket full of hearts. Don't you just love his visor.

I'll have another card tomorrow using one of her free images she's offering up. Check it out and look at the prizes she's giving away - such a lovely way to bring in the new year - fun stuff y'all! ;d

With love...

What a way to start the day...with love... :D

As promised, here is another card made using one of Heather's newest digital images. I love this because it can be used for any kind of day, not just Valentine's day. I used a sentiment ticket from Allissa's Paper Town who has just released a new batch of tickets - should check those out too! I am so hooked on this sentiment tickets that can be printed on patterned paper and used just all over! :p

This image is so cute from Heather's Coffee Break with the heart all around. You know I can use them any time and color it purple (that's another color for Valentine's Day). I pretended it is a cup of coffee with a candy heart that will melt...aww...melt your heart...get it? Tee-hee...So check out Heather's store and see what she has that you can use for any day of the week.

Have fun!

Snowfolk

I hope everyone is having a relaxing time now that the blustery days of Christmas are over. Are you looking at the tree and dreading having to take it down or do you have one of those disposable ones that gets tossed out on the curb to be hauled away at the appropriate pick-up date? Heeheeh...

Well, I am doing my crafting thing and relaxing. Heather (Heather's Coffee Break) had put up some free digi's a week ago and I grabbed a few to post. I love her snowmen. In fact, she is sponsoring Sweet Sketch Wednesday's recent challenge. She supplied their design team with some cuties - you should go check them out.

So, I inked up the couple and outlined them in blue Copics, added snowflakes and gems.

Brrr....baby, it's still cold outside! ;D

Blog Hop on Wednesday for Heather's Coffee Break

Hey y'all,

I just wanted to give you a sneak peek at what's headed your way...a super fabulous blog hop! That's right, Heather's Coffee Break has a super cool digital release happening this Wednesday and I'm going to be a part of the blog hop! Whoopeee! A bunch of us ladies have prepared some gorgeous paper crafts for you to be inspired by with these new images. Check out her store to see some of her other super sensations!

I made this card from one of her super cool images. Isn't she adorable? I love how easy it was to color her outfit - even thought about paper piecing it...but these colors came to mind and I had papers in my stash (scraps from DCWV), added flowers and buttons to give it a sort of sassy flair. I love Heather's digital images. I hope you like it.

Stay tuned because on Wednesday, we are starting at 9am (EST). I'll have another card for you to gaze upon. :D Get ready for the hop, hop, hop...

Girlfriends...

You know, while I was coloring this sweet image that I got from Heather's Coffee Break, I realized the center of my enjoyment in crafting was coloring images. When I was little, I used to draw "girls" as I called them then. They were much like what Heather's drawn here and I'd talk (to myself) about my friend, what we were doing that day and I'd draw up every piece of paper in the house. Why my mother just didn't buy me a ream of paper back then is beyond me (LOL!). I drew on brown paper sacks - anything! I loved drawing and coloring those girls' clothes.

I had that same enjoyment coloring these girls and paper piecing their jeans. When I look at images, my enjoyment seems to stem from some kind of happy/joy/joy button from long ago. I just know I love a girlfriend story. Once a year, there's an annual "Girlfriend Appreciation Day" here and I go, rallying all my girlfriends and we have a ball. Doesn't this image make you think of your girlfriend?

Well, Heather is preparing a blog hop, which I am included - I was so happy when she asked me. She'll be releasing her new images so mark December 9th (that's next Wednesday) on your calendar and be ready to hop, hop, hop 'til you drop because there will be prizes. I'll have a little goody for those participating too - so stay tuned! :D

Pink, Yellow and Red

At Heather's Coffee Break, it's snow day and there's another blog hop! So, check this out, if you do the sketch and the colors (pink, yellow and red), and leave a comment, you'll be entered into a drawing for a fabulous prize! Also, check out the new images in her store - mmmm, yummy! I have to add to my "coffee collection." ;-p

So I am using one of Heather's images because it's so cute. I was a little afraid of the color combo - you know me and colors do not work well together. But I think I managed to pull off the yellow with pink and red, don't you? I even had some green, red and yellow paper - woohoo!

So I colored little angel with Copics and added stickles for her fur, punched snowflakes and added pink buttons to kind of tie in those colors. I followed the sketch...I believe. So, now I'm going to hop onto the other blogs and see their samples of the new digis Heather has!

Later: So, I did the hop and found out that my interpretation of the sketch was way off base. I hate to do a half done job, so I thought, I need to do another one. Isn't that how it goes sometimes? The design team puts on such a show of beautiful samples, you realize yours just isn't up to your own standards...so back to the drawing board.

Now...tell me - what do you think of this one. I like them both, but I did follow the sketch better. Heather made each person in the hop a snowman family based on the things that person's family was all about. You should see how cute it is! Check out her blog - she can do one for your family too!

I had my son do the same thing at Tellen's Place for my design team - it's really cute having yourself portrayed - hubby and I have one too (one I did awhile back - might have to have my son draw another). I'm definitely going to have Heather draw a snow family of me and King Mufasa - THAT's going to be a hoot! ;P
