AAM - I'm Worthy

All About Me always has wonderful challenges, giving you a chance to focus on self and scrap a layout or even a card with emphasis on YOU. Last week, I scrapped a page for this challenge, "I'm Worthy". The design team gave some very beautiful and inspiring pages that definitely spurred me on.

Friday, my uncle passed away and it brought back memories of my mom (his sister) and her sisters and brothers that have gone on. There were sixteen of them and now only two left. Many things went through my mind thinking about Uncle Willie, who nicknamed me "Duck" because I talked so much as a child. I still do. He'd make that quacking sound and tease me. I wasn't crazy about it and always felt like the ugly duckling, the outsider. My aunt (his sister) assured me he was only playing with me and for me not to take it to heart. It was his way of showing affection. I'm really going to miss him.

So, to keep my mind occupied, I am submitting this into the challenge and knowing that I am worthy of knowing... *big smile* Thank you to my blog friends who've sent me lovely e-mails with lovely thoughts and prayers - I really appreciate it - our family isn't always embracing with each other during these kinds of things...but we'll make it through...one step at a time.

Have a beautiful day y'all and Happy Crafting! :-)

Oh Terry, so sorry to hear about your Uncle. Wow 16 in the family, that must have been fun growing up, my family is about a quarter of that. My thoughts are with you during this time, keep up the great work though if it helps distract. Great layout and you certainly are worthy. Hugs and smiles from Ireland :-D
